Johnson Matthey is a speciality chemicals company. It specialises in platinum. The company has four main divisions:
1) Catalysts & chemicals,
2) Precious metals,
3) Colours & coatings
4) Pharmaceutical materials.
All four divisions are based upon Platinum.
The primary business is platinum refining and making catalytic convertors to filter car pollutants.
The future growth potential comes from its research into platinum-based cancer drugs and fuel cells.
