Anglo American (AAL)
Mining giant Anglo American has very strong links with South Africa. The company produces a whole range of metals and natural resources including gold, platinum, diamonds, coal, base and ferrous metals, industrial minerals to timber and coal from operations in Africa, Europe, South and North America and Australia.
Anglo American Dividends:
It proved very susceptible to the financial crisis and in 2009 did not pay a dividend. Anglo American dividends resumed in 2010 albeit at a lower level and dividends are once again growing quite strongly.
With a forecast dividend cover of just over 3 for the coming year, there is scope for further increases, subject to the global economy of course!
